Very nice jeep. Just my 2 cents but if your jeep is safe and driveable as is I would enjoy it now and wait till it is in worse shape before I would restore it.

A highly maintained original vehicle from this era, even in fire department yellow, is pretty unusual these days.

Our local fire department has a mint M715. I keep waiting for it to be sold off as surplus. Very Happy

Yes, she runs good, I have done some work to it.Replaced muffler system, new wire harness, some engine work, new fuel pump, added the battery box and the air cleaner/oil bath,I think the throw out barring needs replacing for the clutch, mostly i want to start work on the body it's got some rough spots but nothing major, just debating if i want to do a frame off, or just sand and paint over existing color. I bought it in '08 time to freshin her looks up. the tires are almost 60 years old (52') jeep is 51'.

Where are you located? It helps to include your location in your profile. Often you'll find that there are several folks very near you restoring the same model jeep.
