In my quest for parts for my M38 I ended up with an M170. Unfortunately the tags are gone at first glance and I wont have it home until the weekend. Where would I look for any hints of a seriel number?
I had to take it as part of a deal on a parts M38 so I thought what the heck. I cant do both and will probably sell the M170. It looks to have most of the 24 volt stuff including the generator and a big box on the drivers side firewall.
Thanks for any info and help.

on the fender well behind the passenger seat. there will (should) be mfg "Willys" aluminum tag denoting the vehicle serial #,

have you an idea what year it is?
any bumper marking or hood #'s?

If the fenderwell tag was in roughly the same place as my M38 then I think it is gone. I am picking it up Sat. and will be able to look it over better. There were several snakes under and in the tarp covering it so I did not dig real hard. Besides all the junk in it also.
