Mad Mad Sanded my hood down for the numbers and this is what I found

2094282? can you believe that on both sides of the hood I could not find the last number. If I had to take a guess it possibly could have been a 7 which would make the number 20942827. this is an M38 with a date of 5/52 serial number 65788. There is no way to find that last number for sure I dont guess. Is there a database of m38s currently owned that I could reference? If others Had the same first numbers as I do I could cross them off of my list. If not im going with a 7!

Ryan,

There is a list, I have not gotten it copied into a format that I can put on the downloads section yet. I am about half way done.

I am currently at work, I can check the list tomorrow and reply to your post or if someone else has access to the old yahoo storage site they can post too.

Ryan,

We do not have a complete listing of serial numbers/ hood numbers. The information we do have has been provided by individual members and then compiled by Wes.

I am currently manually typing in the info off the yahoo site into a program (Word) that we can load onto the download section.

If anyone else has serial numbers (engine, hood, data plate) they would like to share, you can post here or email them to us.

There are several that are close to your serial number, but there was no hood number reported/found.

Here is the info from the database that had hood numbers close to yours:

Vehicle Ser No. Hood No.
MC67057 Unknown
MC67840 20942888
MC67855 Unknown
MC67928 20942896
MC68114 20943191

MC65788 2094282* YOURS

I would say yours was a very early part of May.
I hope this helps you out.

Ryan,

Check the "Downloads" section under "Vehicle Serial Number Data base"

This is the old listing last updated 2004.

I am working on the new updated version, but since it is important, I placed the old one up for now.

As you will see, we rely on information from vehicle owners as there is no documentation archived that contains all the vehicle/engine serial numbers and hood numbers.

I hope this helps,

Ryan
