Does anybody have a picture of the steering column floor seal mounted in place? Seems my floorboard may be missing two of the holes. I want to figure this out. It has me scratching my head as my floorboard is NOS or take-out parts. |

Greg,
I'm struggling at the limit of my e-skills here.
I've added 3 pictures (very poor quality, sorry) of the bit I think you mean in my gallery.
I'm struggling to post them here.
Only when I checked it out on my jeep did I realise I'd removed that part myself last fall.
Anyway I put it together and took some shots,
hope they help,
All the best,
Dave. |

Dave

Sorry Greg,
That part of my restoration is in a box somewhere.
Dave, I usually right click on the photo and select properties. Then I highlight and select copy on the photo address.
Then on your message, right click and select paste.
I'll see if I can adjust Dave's posting to make the photos show up.

Dave; FYI in your third photo, the small plate above the steering column is supposed to go under the steering column seal...
The gasket is a round piece of rubber like an "O" then there are two half circle pieces that fit over that. Each "C" piece has two holes that should line up with hles in the gasket and the floor panels...
Photos to follow...
Hope this helps... |

Dave,
For multiple photos, I will start up a second internet explorer and login to the website so that I can simultaneously get onto the photo gallery and the message forum.
That way I can select and copy the photo address and then paste each one in.
I used to write each one down and then manually type them in and would invariably goof the address.
If the photo address is off one letter, then it will not work.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any help.
You can practice photo posting on the "website issues" message board if you want. _________________ Ryan Miller

Thank Hal,
I just stuck the cover in to take the pics, I now realise I'm missing 1 of the half moon plates,
Thanks,
Dave. |

Thanks to all. For some reason my pan does not have to two top holes. I guess I will have to drill it out and put a bolt in and back it up with a hex nut.
I also notice Dave and Hal each have their pedals on different ways. I put mine back like Hal, as that is how I had them marked when I originally removed them.
But, is that the correct way? I assume it is as it is much easier to move your foot from the accel. pedal to brake pedal. |

I think that Hal's is technically "correct" _________________ Ryan Miller
