I installed a reproduction 24 volt oil gauge on my M38A1. The pressure is wrong, way too high( reading 100 plus). Why is this? My old guage stop working after my battery blew up. I changed my oil sending unit as well. Before the battery exploded my oil pressure was fine. Any suggestions?

Do you have the matching sending unit? If the sender does not match the gauge it won't read right. I'm sure some of the real experts will weigh in, but there are senders that range 0 - 60 psi and also 0 - 120psi. Your gauge needs to match the sender.
