Stumbled across this unique trailer ball and first thought maybe I found the holly grail for a civilian trailer owner but now doubt that due to size?
It is marked " B6 BALL" and is slightly over 2" and not the 1-7/8" I think the Fulton hitch on 1/4 ton trailers has.
Anyone know?

The Fulton Company appears to still exist and make trailer parts. Below is it's web address and some info about the company. You might could contact them and get info on your trailer ball.

www.fultonperformance.com
The Fulton Company was established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1911 as a sales organization for automobile accessories. In 1913 Fulton began manufacturing their own parts and accessories which were sold to the automotive aftermarket.

During World War II, Fulton developed the stamped steel trailer coupler. The coupler was developed in response to a war-related shortage of malleable cast iron, as well as a requirement of trailer manufacturers, to be able to weld the coupler directly to the trailer tongue. As the trailer manufacturing industry developed, the innovation of the stamped steel coupler created a unique market for Fulton. By the end of the 1950's Fulton began manufacturing stamped steel winches for boat trailers, transforming it into a trailer accessory manufacturer. In the mid 1960's Fulton expanded their product line to include trailer tongue jacks to compliment their coupler and winch business.

In 1981 Fulton acquired the Morris Midwest line of screw jacks located in Schofield, Wisconsin, providing Fulton with the basis of what has developed into a complete line of marine, agricultural, recreational and industrial line of screw jacks.

Thanks for that, This appears to fit in to that idea with it's stamped and formed peices and not solid machined steel.

Nice find. Be sure to send those photographs to Art C at the Bantam Trailer web site.

You are correct. The civvy Bantam trailer produced from about 46 thru about 1955 used the 1 7/8" Fulton coupler. This particular coupler is very hard to find not attached to a Bantam T3-C trailer.

This is my T3-C trailer as acquired.

A closeup showing the original Fulton 1 7/8" coupler.
