Ok guys. Over the past week I've acquired 4 fuel pumps. 3 of them look the same while one of them is a rebuilt or brand new one. 1 of them has the glass bottom. Which one is correct for the A1? Or are all of them correct. I'm doing a motor pool resto but was wondering if it mattered. Thanks.

Below is a link to the picture with the fuel pumps.

Here is the correct AC fuel/vac pump.

Not shown in the pic is the required 1/2" spacer between the pump and
engine block. Will those you have aquired work? Probably but other guys can better answer that question. Given the high price of the correct AC
pump you're in a good place with what you've got if they're compatible.
See TM9 1828A in the downloads.

Yes they will and they don't require the spacer that was mentioned in the earlier post. but some of the front covers may need to be modified or the pump may rub the cover. or the pump be modified. I have used that style on my first M 38.

M38 or M38A1? Just want to make sure so I can sell them if I can't use them.

Fuel pumps are interchangeable between the M38 and M38A1 engines. If it works for one, it will work for the other. As mentioned, some fuel pumps require a spacer.

When using a dual diaphragm pump with the L134 and F134 then you must know if the pump is civilian or military. If installing a military dual diaphragm pump use the 9/16" spacer and if installing a civilian dual diaphragm pump use the 1/8" civvy spacer. Single action, single diaphragm pumps do not use a spacer. One pump in that photo has an odd lever.

I've downloaded the fuel pump TM and looked over it. I haven't been able to read much, but I tried matching any of my pumps with the ones pictured. I'm not sure what syle I have though. Are they military or civilian. I'm assuming they are civy as they are not the correct AC type. Other than that, I have no idea Sad
