can someone give me a measurement of the spacing of the footman loops that are located on the hat channel thats welded to the rear panel??. on an 53 m38a1. need to weld them on before it gets paint, and the canvas. thxs

I posted this awhile back and can't locate the answers to the measurements sent back to me. Anyone have a copy of the answer sheet?

I'd think they would be welded on being they are on a hat channel like the one on the windshield. There is no access to the back. Unless there were weld nuts but the pic looks like they are spotted on.

as far as i know they get welded on,

can anyone measure the footman loops on there a1, and post the measurments. thanks

They are welded on. Look closely at the photo above.

On my A1 and referring to the photo Wes posted, K = 10 1/2", L = 10 3/4" and Q = 10 1/2".

That's a start. "V" would establish the distance from the rear panel seam to the first footman loop screw hole. It would be nice to get all the measurements for the rear. Wink
