Hello friends,

I have a question about this piece (PHOTO).

She was attached to the side of the engine block of the m38?

Served as support for what?

All jeeps m38 wore this piece? That was a change made in a date?

Would you like more details on this piece and what she endured.

Thank you all for your attention.

hug
Alexandre BRAZIL

This piece mounted on the passenger's side of the engine block just aft of the carb (on an F-134) and was used to mount the electrical transducer (or oil pressure sending unit) for the electrical oil pressure gauge.

friend,

Thanks for your response.

So in fact this piece was used in the M38-A1.

The M38 did not use this piece?
I am confirming, because I saw a picture of a m38 (believe L134) with this piece installed.

I'll post a picture and you tell me if I'm wrong.

Thanks again for your attention.

I have very little experience with the M38 or the L-Head 134 engine but I believe the oil pressure sender unit on these units was mounted on the driver's side of the engine very close to where the oil port is immediately in front of the bell housing at the rear of the engine block.

Chris and Jim,

I see, so really this support was not mounted on L-134, the photo I posted, is perhaps an incorrect assembly, where the engines made CJ3A was installed the coil 6v.

I think this photo may be an incorrect installation.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for taking the time with my doubts.

hugs
Alexandre
