I received this email last night and it appears to be on the Up & Up.

Quote:

Dear Wes and Ryan.

I hope you don’t mind me contacting you.

I work for Wag TV a television company in the UK, who make programmes for National Geographic, Discovery and for many of the US networks.

We are currently trying to get a series off the ground all about buying and selling large military vehicles, including Jeeps.

We are particularly looking to follow dealers and collectors from the US who head to other countries to buy old vehicles. Then bring them back for restoration and finally sell them on – or keep them for their collection.

So we are looking for dealers and collectors who might be interested in showing us what they do on TV. We would like to celebrate this industry and delve into the history of these vehicles, for a US and international audience.

Please do let me know if anyone springs to mind and feel free to pass on my email, or please do post in your forums for your members to consider.

Hoping to hear back from you soon.

Kindest regards, Emma.

Large current military vehicles from the Gov't are not to be re-sold out of the US. You also have to be a US citizen in good standing and pass all backround checks. Are they talking WW2 and Korean vintage stuff? John

John,
I think this clearly says US dealers/collectors who shop abroad and bring MV's back to the states. I believe they are referencing MV's from any time period.
