Seems to me if the windshield was lowered, the mirror brackets would be to the outside of the hood anyway, thus clearing it. That said, looks pretty easy to knock on or both off with it down.

Oh, such a tease, they have some great MVs, the jeeps are nice, they also have a nice Dodge WC WWII vintage, several 2 1/2 ton trucks, lots of pinz and half linggers, lots of Unimogs, and all kinds of really neat VWs....

Good to see some photos, the 24 volt one would be an M606A2 and the normal 12 volt M606A1's like mine. The mirrors don't work when you have the screen flat, I changed mine to a lower mounted one, so I could drive with the wind in my hair. I don't think the SWiss Army ever took ther roof down, the ww11 top bows which seem to be fitted to every Swiss Army jeep do not work well on CJ5 tubs, hopefully next weekend a fellow forum member Mark E and myself are swapping top bows. I will have M38A1 bows which will work much better. _________________ Cheers Chris
