Hi All
I have an AC fuel pump the one with the glass bowl on top for my F head engine, can anyone tell me where I get the vacuum from for the wipers, there are two orifices on the bottom so I am assuming one of them is for the vacuum and the other???

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Mark

One is for suction in to the pump and one is for air out of the pump. The easiest way is to operate the pump and hold your finger over each hole and the one that sucks is the one you want.

I emailed you a photo of the military pump plumbing. You should see that the military and civvy pumps are opposite.

Go to the Downloads section and click on M38. You will see a vacuum system icon to click on and in that there are several articles on the vacuum system with photos, one deals specifically with the wiper motors.

Cool

Ok thanks for that also I the holes for the vacuum are not threaded just plain, have these got to be tapped to fit the fitting or is there a special one for this

The civvy pump has two copper smooth tubing nipples and a slide on hose goes on them. You will have to adapt slide on hoses to your military's threaded inverted flare tubing system or get the correct pump.
