|
|
Good morning,
This is my first post on the forum!
I'm restoring a CJ3a and militarizing to m38.
I have some questions regarding the position of accessories, researched the "Jeep Draw", but Jon just has drawings of the MB / GPW.
I need the steps below, if someone can help me.
Please measures (mm)
Thank you for your attention.
Alexandre

hi Alexandre. i have to agree with Xamon about keeping your 3a as is. it took me 30 years to find an M-38 CDN. i owned a '48 3a but it was nowhere near being an M-38. having said that, i can understand that importing or finding one in Brazil may be difficult. all the best in your rebuild! cheers frank _________________ Frank 1952 M38 Cdn CAR 52-31812,1952 M38 Cdn F100005, 1967 Jeepster, 1999 XJ, 1999 TJ " rubiCLONE" |

Welcome to the site!
I won't pull sides on what you have planned for your rig. Plain and simple, it's yours, you do with it and enjoy it as you will.
Aside from that, get us some more info on what you are after and we will help you out.

Hi Xamon and Frank,
Thanks for the opinion of you, but what happens in Brazil is as follows:
In Brazil, the (Brazilian Army) Brazilian Army repotencializou Several jeeps in the pattern called "BERNARDINI."
And this re-powering, civilian jeeps were used and processed for use of EB.
How am I doing patterns militarization of the EB, militarization is totally real.
Another learning experience for all of us!
I'll post a photo I have of a militarized jeep by EB.
I'm still waiting for the dimensions. Who can help, thank you very much.
Hugs.

Bretto,
I think now you can view the image.
I need the exact measurements of the position of footman loops and reflector on the side of the jeep.
Could you help me?
Thanks for your attention.

Here are some measurements off of my M38. It is difficult to get exact measurements from the curve of the back of the jeep. I held a straight edge along the back and took measurements from there. Assuming you are using standard 5.4mm footman loops I did not measure for both holes.
A=205mm
B= 127mm
D= 809mm
F= 587mm
H= 168mm
J= 68mm
Hope this helps,

Kendall,
I appreciate your willingness to help me.
I'll need a few more steps, I'll do the drawings, and if you can help me more sometimes, I'll be very grateful.
Thank you for your attention.
