I would like to but a snorkel on my 52 M38 that I pride on being correct, but I love to drive with the w/s down in the summer. Could I attach the carb hose to the w/s frame so it will lay down instead of sticking up in the air on its own support rod when the w/s is down.

The snorkel can be mounted to a custom support rod that is only attached to the right side of the windshield thus it will follow the windshield both up and down.

The real problem with driving these jeeps with fording tubes mounted is the hot exhaust pipe is dangerous to folks that do not know what they are. IE small children. It is very embarrassing to have to apoligize to parents because your were foolish enough to expose their children to such a hazard.

Those kits only require 5 to 10 minutes to install after the intitial hardware installation and bracketry installation. So it is painless to set them up at shows and remove them when using it as a driver.

If you decide you must have a hot 60" high tailpipe on a driver why not use the heat shield found in the M151 kits?
