If you read enough of the many previous posts on this topic you will read over and over again and again that folks found the closest off the shelf match were AJP's Late WWII OD or Gillespie's 23070. And most of those posts mentioned tinting that paint with some 24087 to darken or green it up more.
I prefer the term darken to green it up more. Many times I have stood in front of a jeep with several other folks and listened to each person's perception of what they see in paint color. There are hits all over the spectrum but the most common is simply they both seem to share the same basic pigmentation but 24087 is just much darker.
Paint ages from the instant it is applied. Protected from the sun just means it ages slower. No one today looking at a dark spot on any jeep is seeing the 2430 as it appeared in 1950 thru 52.
If anyone has tried applying TM 9's new 2430 please post some results photos for us to admire.
TM 9 Ordinance Products has come up with an unusual look for 2430. These are TM 9's samples and you can see there is something not right in the way the 2430 swatch appears. It is not uniform in appearance.
