It seems to be the Mitsubishi CJ3B-J4.

Definately a Mitsu J4. No tailgate. That's an A1 Skyraider in the background. My guess the jeep is S. Vietnamese joint security on a S. Vietnamese/US airfield.

Thanks for the info! I have never seen one in real life and did not know they have a solid rear panel like an M38A1.
