My m38a1 needs new points/condenser. Went to local auto store and got one for a 64 cj5, my m38a1 is a 64. But when i put them in, the points were a millimeter too big, so i couldn't gap them. The condenser wire was a bit long and i noticed the elbow were barely, but where, rubbing on it. From my research a cj5 should be compatible. What did i do wrong ? the year ? just bad points ? or wrong all together ?
