Looking at Fig. 03-3 in the ORD 9 for the fuel section of the fuel & vacuum pump, I see that the inlet and outlet elbows are both the same: P/N 137422. Going to the fuel pump section of the parts list in same, on page 93 I find P/N 137422 described as 5/16 tube, which leads me to believe that the line from the fuel pump to the carburetor should be 5/16". The line assembly with a tube and two nuts is listed lower on that page, but no size is indicated.

If you look at page 93, in section 0306, of the M38A1 ORD 9 you will see 13 lines from the bottom of the page the line you seek. ORD # 8329618, Line, Carb to fuel pump. Then below that you see "Composed of:" then you see "ORD # 44-T-5319-65" "Tube (40 1/2" long) steel. Now move on to the end of section 0306 and misc tubing is listed there with it's ID. In you case see ORD # 44-T-5319-65, "Tubing, Steel, Cold drawn, Round, , 5/16" OD, 0.028" wall thickness"
