All,

I am in need of the quickest way to remove my steering wheel/column to remove the body from the frame. Any info would be great. Thank you

the body will fit over the steering wheel need about 5-6 friends and BEER lift up and over buzz

How about removing the steering wheel? I have like a round looking nut that I am assuming a nut can you confirm this?

The best thing is download the jeep manual for free from this site, it will tell you how to do it.

You must pull the steering wheel. They can be stubborn and will not usually come off easily if you are in a hurry. The drill is to remove the nut, saturate with PB blaster and wait a day and wet again and wait a day and then install the correct type puller and remove the wheel.

everyone seems to think you need to pull the steering wheel and lift the body 3 ' in the air with 4 people. All you have to do is remove the floor panels, then remove the forward 2 steering box bolt's, loosen the upper rear one ( or the upper 2 bolt's and loosen the bottom one, it's been awhile since I've done it. ) and let the steering column and wheel lay on the floor of the tub and while lifting the tub move it towards the drivers side a little and fit the steering wheel through the floor pan opening. I've always done this with only two people.

Thanks for all the information..... Dauntless that is the way I did it..... Took me about one YouTube video and an hour to figure that out and it worked great..... Thanks again all!
