Kevin posted this on the Yahoo Group:

Well I might as well annouce that my M38A1 in northern WI is also for sale. I just don't have enough interest in military vehicles to give it the proper resto. It would be a shame for it to be hacked up and painted incorrectly because it is in nice shape. I have owned it just over 1 year.

1952 M38A1 dod 9/52 s/n 1754. Used by Kalamazoo County in Michigan and has been sitting in various garages for twenty years. The carb and brakes have been rebuilt and synthetic fluid added. It has repro back seat and top bows, original winter soft top, still 24V and almost complete. New 2-year warranty batteries. New plugs and wires. The carb is not the original and a electric fuel pump has been wired in for easier starts. The tank was replaced 6 years ago. body is good, with no major rust outs, but a few of dings and some channel rust. The tailgate was cut out, but a replacement panel from another M38A1 is currently just bolted into place to hold the gas can and spare. 5 original rims and tires, with 2 extra NDT's in new condition. Jeep runs well, I put about 200 miles on it. Had it down the road at 40-45 without any problems. Took it 15 miles one way into town for a few car shows.

$2700 or Might be interested in a trade for a CJ5 or similar.
