I found I had to replace the drivers side floor pan. and the front hat channel kit.
I got lucky cutting the floor pan out, I have a nice fit. so I tacked it in. then laid out the hat channel over the bottom. there was a little warping going on, but I think I have that under control. I'm more concerned with placing the channels correctly.
If I follow the passenger side shadow from the old channel, the drivers side doesn't seem to line up correctly. I've looked through a bunch of photos here and tried the manuals but I'm not finding much to go on.
Anyone have any ideas of to check this?

Steve,
Are you talking about where it joins the main hat channel to the
rear or the other end at the step?

The front end should be pretty easy if you can eyeball where
the original tied to the bottom of the drivers step.

not trying to steal your photo, but I thought the best way to show what I'm looking at here

I lined up the holes circled in red. the red mark is where I thought the channel should be but when lined up with the other side in comes out in the area marked orange. If that makes any sense.
Yup I have looked through a bunch of your photos and they have been a great help.....thank you. sometimes there are to many to find what I'm look for......lol. ok sometimes I don't know what I'm looking for.

I'll try and take some photo of it tomorrow to better show what I'm seeing.

thank you guys for the help

Hi Steve,
Does the rest of the hat channel assembly on the drivers side
line up? Just that rear leg is off?

This is how I did it. I didn't firm up welding of Hats and tightening of mounting bolts until I test fitted the front sheet metal.
