I see the Douglas tool on eBay (seller=molinestud) all the time not sure what to look for to repair my Packard style harness.

I have a NOS harnes and NOS components (switchs, lights, etc.), and with many of them tehy are more than difficult to squeeze the two shells together. Is there a recommended lubricant, plier, or??? to assist with bringing the two halfs together?
