Hi Ryan, Im Choribor, new memeber. I was thinking to buy a complete harness to my M 38 project, so reading this article I understood that I must buy the Douglass conectors apart . Is that wright?

What does the layout of parts and the crimper for the Packard rubber connections look like? I see the Douglas tool on eBay (seller=molinestud) all the time not sure what to look for to repair my Packard style harness. Dave

You explained that if the conncetor was too tight, then there was a problem with the components. I have a NOS harnes and NOS components (switchs, lights, etc.), and with many of them tehy are more than difficult to squeeze the two shells together. Is there a recommended lubricant, plier, or??? to assist with bringing the two halfs together? Ken

can I buy the parts piece by piece or do I have to buy the entire connector? I really only need the rubber and the crimping piece. also what gauge wire was used for the harness?

Can the central silver metal part of these connectors, thae part that is crimped, be bought anywhere? If so where? Thanks, trying to restore my dad's M38A! BV
