M38A1 Fuel tank for sale

Saw this today at a car show in Chippewa Falls, WI. I talked to the owner and his name and phone number are on the first photo as are the prices. The tank looked very good for $100. Only thing missing are the screws for the pickup/filter and the inlet screen.

Why do i have to always be on the opposite side of the country from where the parts are

Impossible. No way you can be on the opposite side of this gas tank. It is in the middle of the country!!!! For an M38A1 tank in this condition for $100 the freight will leave you well below the average cost of one of these. UPS Ground from Wisconsin to Los Angeles is $80.
