Your Military Dwell Meter Kit is in very good shape. It is also good practice to check for maximum governor advance at the correct RPM while test set is connected.

Take note of which advance curve applies to your Part Number distributor
You should have the IAU4006AUT distributor. If you do then the advance curve you use is: 1046

This chart can be confusing. Your Zero Advance RPM of 300 would actually be the your initial setting of 5 Degrees BTDC. At 425 RPM you will have one addtional degree of governor advance or a total of 6 degrees BTDC. At 1050 RPM you will have an additional 6 degrees of governor advance giving you a total advance of 11 degrees BTDC and so on.
