Help needed to date my M38 A1

Hi all, the plate behind the passenger seat has the Nos;
57144 15793
and the No. on the engine block is MD106946

have not come across any other Nos. yet .
any help app. thanks Oscar

57144 is the model # used by Kaiser Jeep. 15793 is the serial number and these numbers were usually on the Dutch M38A1 NEKAF units built 1958 thru 1960.

According to my Nekaf records your M38A1 with serial number MD15793 (57144-15793 R) is a former Royal Netherlands Army Jeep from 1959.
Its military registration number (license plate number) was KX-68-78.

Have a look at ww.crosswolf.nl and maybe you can find original photos of your Nekaf

Brand you in M38A1 community I just bought a Nekaf one. I don't know if you can help but in order to get it registered, I' m looking for it's exact date of delivery. The administrative document I have says 1/1/60 which seems wrong, in several database I found it appeers it's rather a 1956 one, but I couln't find any precise date, can you help ?
On the dashboard plate I can read :
Motor n° = MD111945
Chassis n° = MD13612

The full serial on a 1960 Nekaf M38A1 would be 57144-16XXX.

Your full serial if it is 57144-13612 would be a Jun/Jul 1956 Nekaf.

If your full serial is only 13612 it would be a Jun/Jul 1952 US built M38A1

Your Nekaf is a 1956 M38A1
The nearest numbers on my list are also from 1956
MD13610 1956 KP-95-09
MD13612 1956 KP-9*-** FR motornr. MD111945
MD13613 1956 KP-95-20

I recently received the engine numbers that belong to the jeeps with the nearest frame numbers. By the way, the Nekafs with frame numbers MD13611 and MD13613 are still in The Netherlands.

MD13611 1957 KP-94-78 NL motornr. MD111823
MD13612 19** KP-**-** FR motornr. MD111945
MD13613 1956 KP-95-20 NL motornr. MD111946
