YS637 carburator hook up

Post by gunnerb17 »

I have a M38 with YS 637 carburator-Does anyone have a good picture of how the manual throttle cable and clamp or positioned on the bracket with the choke cable? Thanks for your help

Hi Gunner,
Pretty good photos and the information you seek are in the Army and Willys tech manuals. Trying to work on these jeeps without manuals is like fishing in the dark and can get expensive real fast.

All the manuals are free for the taking from this website under "downloads". Fairly expensive if you want to buy paper reproductions.

Some of the manuals can be a little confusing at times on certain topics. If you have questions about stuff in the manuals, please post them and Wes will usually straighten you out.

I'd post some photos for you but Wes likes the "teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish" rule. 8O

Good luck!

I will throw some bait however...

I believe the photos you want are Figures 44 and 45 on pages 152 and 153 of TM9-8012.

Figure 46 on page 157 of the same manual might also be useful.
