Hello,
I renovate M38 A1
I have a new wiring harness from Maine
I want to add fuses to the circuit breaker
I will use the photo below as a guide.
I just do not know how much the Amp 15 or 30 have to have the circuit breaker.
Thank you for your help and advice.
Best regards Standa

If your M38A1 is a stock military 24 volt system:::!!!
No No 25 amps, Use the M38 parts manual if you wish to re-insert the 3 circuit breakers that Willys did not install in any of the M38A1's.
All our free manuals are here:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... oad&cid=60
The M38 parts manual is:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules. ... tit&lid=95
The correct breakers are 15 Amp (3 each Spencer PN C9115-2-15 ORD# 7760416 on the side of the battery box and one 15A (AC PN 1580679, ORD# 7762620))! The M38 originally used 4 of them.
1 - Instrument panel (actually mounted on the instrument cluster panel)
2 - Auxiliary power.
3 - Horn
4 - Light switch.
Late M38's and all M38A1's DID NOT have them.
Also if you have the later main light switch:
The first 2 switches require an external circuit breaker or fuse. The last 2 switches have built in 25A circuit breakers. So, if you have the later 2 switches you only need two circuit breakers to copy the older M38 circuit breaker system. One 15A for the horn and one 15A for Instruments. If you wish to add an accessory power source then use a 3rd 15A for that.
