Another suggestion

Those of you that are in the process of restoration, I have a suggestion. If you want to give your Jeep some character, don't try to make it perfect on the body work. When mine was finished we left some dings and other imperfections that where naturally there and just prepped it like that. It give's it a real feel for it's age. Also, I don't know what kind of paint they used back then for the markings but when my hood was sand-blasted, the contract number was imbedded in the steel. I belive the hood star on some of the early models had it's single point to the rear (as with the GPW's) and later reversed. Comments Welcomed
