Anyway, I thought I'd post a couple of photos of the more that I dig into the M38 that I bought (when I was a real babe in the woods
So I discover I have a wore out 9-1/4 inch (OAL, ignore the ruler in the photo) clutch pedal link rod, the one with both ends bent 90-degrees and drilled for cotter pins. Research told me the 9-1/4 inch rod is for a T84 transmission --- go ahead and hammer me if I'm mistaken. The ruler told me it was pretty easy to see that it sure isn't the right length for the M38 T90 rod --- or the MWO G1-W88 modification that put clevis ends on it.
So....I cut the ends off the wore-out rod, still straight and plenty long enough to thread the ends to make a rod compliant with the MWO ORD W88 dimensions (adjustable to 10-1/2 inches). Common hardware store clevis were $5 each. I wish everything I discover was that cheap to fix!
In case you were wondering, I already replaced the other wore-out parts that were responsible for all that pedal slop....
