Hi there,

is it correct that the modern gasoline is much more agressive (ethanol) thus much sooner kill the diaphragm in our fuel pumps?

Or/and the reproduction diaphragms are of lesser quality?

I appreciate too read your thoughts and suggestions...

Others can speak more authoritatively to this topic, but it is my understanding that current production gaskets in rebuild kits (i.e. not NOS = New Old Stock) can handle the ethanol.

Personally, while I like NOS for metal parts, I am very leary about using 60, 70 year old rubber (or canvas or other flexible parts) anywhere on my Willys.
