Battery cutoff installation

I bought one of those nice heavy-duty cut off switches from AJP after seeing a photo of one on this site (somewhere).
I thought I would ask how this was mounted, before I jumped in and started drilling holes everywhere. The photo had it between the battery under the hood and the fender ( neg-to ground).

First of all are you installing it to A - prevent battery run down or to B - prevent theft.

A - The chosen location should be easily accessed.
B - Forces you to hide the switch from view.

Next are you trying to interrupt A - all power (Including the starter) or just the B - power to accessories including ignition.

A - Requires interrupting the main battery cable.
B - Requires interrupting wire #10.

For A I prefer the use of a very sturdy device, not a plastic switch.

Use this for A.

Use this for B

A - would mount on the battery terminal closest to ground. Thus it will be inside the battery box.

B - Is easily mounted to the side or back wall of the glove box and should be used to interrupt wire # 10. before the circuit breakers on early M38's and befoe the main ignition switch on all others.

This is a military "T" handle style power quick disconnect. They are handy but do not deter theft when they are easily located. They have no key.
