Rear Parking Brake on 11" Brake Conversion on M170

I have two things happening with my M170 drivetrain. If you're not familiar with the M170, think of it as an M38A1 stretched 20",

1) I have placed an order for the 11" brake drum conversion from Herm.

2) I just fell into a deal on a Borg Warner OD. This is not the Warn OD that connects in through the PTO port. The BW installs at the rear driveline output of the transfer case and therefor only useable in 2WD. Each has their advantages and disadvantages, but that's not what this is about.

I don't see a way to keep my existing transfer case mounted parking brake with the BW OD. There is a rear parking brake option on the 11 inch brake kit, but I don't know what is required/available to connect it up to my existing parking brake handle.

Has anyone been here?

Thanks, Doug

Or trade for the correct port OD.

I wouldn't trust a Line Lock for use as a parking brake...if a wheel cylinder bleeds down just a little, there goes the Jeep...

You might give these guys a call, maybe they have a driveline E-brake that will work for your setup.

Thanks one and all for the info. Gave me something to think about.

Since I'm getting the 11" CJ brake kit from Herm, I asked him about it. He indicated that I could get the E-brake cabling and such off a CJ and mount it to my existing handle. I think I'm going to look into this.
