Could someone measure the width of the box and report back? I have a 11/1952 Stick and one of the brackets appears bent from perpendicular and want to know how far off from the box it would be if I replace it. Thanks!

12.25" more or less is the answer. Mine is right on the money.

Rick,

Where did you get the answer? Do you have the dimensions of the box itself?

Wes, I found it elsewhere on the inter-web from a couple locations.

Thanks Ron.

My pleasure Rick.

Just to close the loop in this thread:

Paragraph 61 on page 56 of the M100 TM9-871A (July 1951) and the ORD9 say there's no shims between the bracket and the box. It also says the four 1/4-28 hex head cap screws that fasten the box to the brackets each get one of those special lead washers (waterproofing seal) and then the screws are inserted from inside the box with the lock washers and nuts on the outside of the box. My repop box is 12-1/4 inches wide and fits snug between the brackets, not too loose, not too tight, just right.
