Does anyone know a better place than Kaiser Willy's or Peter Debella to get a Wiring Harness for a M38A1?

Hi mydadsjeep (name?)
It's not clear what you mean by "better place"?
Here's one in Pennsylvania about 220 miles from you:

Good luck!

Vintage Wiring is most likely making the harnesses you see for sale by others. Here is the link for the Wiring Harness for the M38A1. No prices but you can request a quote. I have talked to the owner several times at the MVPA National Convention and he had harnesses at his booth with show special pricing.

What I meant by Better place, I was thinking someone out there may know a place cheaper than the $700 I see as the cheapest through the big guy companies. I realized maybe it is better through there cause they do know what there doing.. Dan

Here’s a post from Wes with your choices. If you can do a little wiring work you can save yourself hundreds of dollars:

Simply put:
1: For $800 you can buy a brand new custom made harness (caution here because brand new means assembled date) which may contain some NOS rubber parts from old military surplus stocks which do not last long when they are exposed to the elements.
2: for about $300 you can buy all the actually brand new materials to build your own 24V harness.
3: for about $40 plus freight you can buy a NOS late M series truck harness and adapt it to your jeep. Just make sure the surplus NOS harness has a date on the package newer than 1990 and things should go well for you.
Note that option 1 assumes you are mechanically inclined and can follow written directions. Option 2 & 3 assume you are familiar with electrical work and wiring diagrams and are mechanically inclined.

This is actually everything you need without turn signals. The seller also sells them with turn signal wiring if you want.
There are a few modifications to adapt to an M38A1 but not difficult.

The one Brian is showing on ebay has Packard connections, but there are similar truck harnesses with Douglas connectors that can be modified.
