This is a weekend military vehicle campout to be held on Chuck Reuter's property up in the Tehachapi mountains. There is plenty of room for tent camping and some RV sites. There are no hookups for RV's so bring your generators. Portable toilets will be provided. Due to fire danger, we can't have open fires, but BBQ's are fine. You are welcome to bring items to sell or swap and a vehicle to show and drive. The elevation of our place is about 5,000 feet and there is a mix of oaks and pines in the camp areas. I have made walking trails that can take you through parts of the property and one that leads to the old China Diggins that was strip mined for gold from 1873 through 1933. If camping isn't your thing, but you want to be part of the gathering, there are some nice motels and restaurants in the town of Tehachapi, only 10 minutes away. The county park is located just 2 miles above us and makes for a great MV road trip! Tehachapi has a nice airport and a glider port too. It would really help if you could contact me by early June with information on the type of camping (RV or tent) you will do and number of people in your party.
