400th anniversary of Quebec city

Post by M38CDNBill »

Hello All,

This year is the 400th anniversary of the city of Quebec. This city is the first city in North-America created by Samuel de Champlain in 1608. Next summer, there will be a big military and historic parade which will take place on July 3rd and which is organized by the Royal 22nd Regiment which fought in Sicilia and Italy during the WWII. This Regiment is also the one which fought beside the American Army during the Korean War.

In this parade, there will be certainly more than 1 000 reenactors of all Canadian and American military eras since the colonial period until Timor Oriental War and more than 2 000 servicemen with their light, medium, heavy and Armoured vehicles of the Canadian Forces. All the re-enactors will be parked for two days on the Plains of Abraham (see this website http://www.ccbn-nbc.gc.ca/_en/batailles.php?section=1) and peoples can come to visit camps, equipments and HMVs. It will be a real journey in the time and the history for all passionate persons of the Canadian military history.

In this parade, we expect that we shall be about thirty HMVs and for those who wish to come to meet us, it will be a pleasure to know you and to take with you the glass of the friendship

So I wonder how difficult it is to get through customs with a registered antique military vehicle on a trailer from the USA to Canada and back.

Hello Cacti Ken,

It seems that easy to past through customs lines. I have a friend whose goes at Stowe's antique car show in Vermont each year with his Willys MB. As far as know, he don't has any problems with the country lines.

Best regards from Canada
