Subject: M38 Horn Switch
Status: Reproduction and NOS

Shape/ Appearance:
Reproduction by Midwest Military was similar in shape, but with no rubber boot and the body of the unit was smaller than NOS. Easily distinguishable from OEM.
NOS from AJP was OEM and a good NOS part.
Fit/Function
Reproduction switch mechanism uses a ball bearing button that the rod slips off of easily, but overall worked.
NOS used a mechanism with a flat top and the horn rod was much less apt to slip off. Worked great.
Summary:
The NOS one was the better unit. The reproduction unit is usable, but did not function as well and is easily distinguishable from OEM.
