Top Bow, "rings, chains and pins"

Post by DougK »

I posted this on the GEE but thought I might catch an answer over here for those that don't get to the GEE.

I have just installed the windshield brackets that hold the rods from the top bows. I have also made the rods from the schematic on David Pizzaferrato's OD site.

Now the question. Does anyone have more detailed information than what the Ord 9 states as " 2 chains, 2 pins and 4 rings" for the method of holding the front of the rods in the windshield bracket?

I have left over chains and rings from MV Spares that I bought some time ago that I used on the passenger front seat pivot brackets. Are they correct for the application on the top bow rods? If so what would one use for pins? Cotter pins? Since I am asking, are the MV Spares correct for the seat pivot brackets?

Any detailed photos of NOS or original equipment would help.

Thanks for any help.

Wes

Thank you for the photo. If that is NOS then my configuration with the rings and chains and cotter pins are correct.
