Hi,

I finally decided to purchase a V35 instead of just waiting for one to show up. It has the original engine and many original parts. This is going to be a long term project since my other two Jeeps aren't done yet! Here are some photos.

Bob,

That is really neat!

Do you have some photos of the interior?

Here is the interior. The hard top is ugly and incorrect so it has to go! Bodywork is going to take some time, it has lots of dents. The good... very little rust.

Congratulations. Neat looking vehicle with loads of potential :D :D

There must be a "Bubba" painting guide somewhere that says all ex-military jeeps get the John Deere green treatment. Mine was half done when I bought it.

Best of luck

Bob,

Is that shift lever between the seats for the generator that operates the radio equipment?

I do like the green better than red. My M38 belonged to a fire department and they painted everything red.

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately my Jeep didn't come to me with the radio PTO. It does have a Koenig PTO and winch, installed by a previous owner, that I am removing. The radio generator PTO was always engaged and didn't have a lever.

Wow! She looks pretty solid! Sweet find!
What kind of shape is the powertrain in? Will the engine fire?

Hadn't thought of that. I guess it would be a bit easier to cover JD green with OD rather than trying to cover red. I'll guess I'll just count my blessings

It starts and moves under its own power. I drove it onto my trailer when I picked it up. The brakes don't work so a road-test isn't possible yet. First I am going to fix a leaky water pump, then check out the brakes.

Looking good, Bob.

Nice to see the generator mount is still intact and you have the trim rings for the headlights.

Let me know if there is anything you cannot find... within reason. :D

Right now I am working on the major things that need attention. Someday I will start looking for the specific hard to find parts.

Thanks!
