The movie "Houseboat" with Cary Grant and Sophia Loren has an M-38 in it...
Stock tail lights and all... Cople of good scenes at night in DC from the back of the jeep and regular views...

My M38 was in the movie "Kent State” filmed in Gadsden Alabama around 1980.
It was not a star, just an extra, and it was also part of the lighting crew. They filmed mostly at night (campus not busy) they mounted lights in the back of the M38 to light the set.
