Looks like a honest 45 Half Track.
It's a Non-DLA item so the prior owner (before GOV LIQ) is not shown but was most likely non-military owner. Had this been a DLA item I am sure one of the Army Museums would have already scarfed it up.

Here's my response from Gov. Liq. on my vehicle history or prior owner info.
Question and Answer Below:
Event Id: 20111
Lot Number: 103
Question:
----------------------------------------------
I see this lot is Non-DLA. What or who was the prior owner? Do you have any history on this truck from 1945 on?
Answer:
----------------------------------------------
We have no prior history.
How's that for above board and helpful!
Apparently one fine day this half track appeared in the Gov. Liq. yard and they determined they had lawful possession and right to sell!

Be sure and look at the video of this. It sounds like it runs great. I wish my pockets were a lot deeper!

Let's say that this thing was seized by the government for some legal reason. It spends a required amount of time in the Gov Impound yard and then again in the Gov Liq's yard. Now they sell it for over $35,000 to some poor fellow. Then the original owner wins his court case and has all the seizures voided. Guess who really owns that halftrack now?+
That is why I ask for the previous owner since Gov Liq has already stated it was not from government stocks. Their refusal to release prior ownership info is cleary a good sign that the legal string of ownership is not there.
