Sounds like a harness for a M38A1 which I know retails for around $800 or so.

Maybe we can get Circle to list the harness part number. I seem to recall it was a M38 replacement harness section that was manufactured in 1953.
Also don't confuse a single harness section with a complete M38 or M38A1 harness. The completely new (this year) complete jeep harnesses sell for over $750. The old NOS individual harness sections usually sell for about $50.
I learned years ago to not trust any NOS stuff that is manufactured with a published shelf life. Most rubber parts have a 12 year shelf life. When you get these nice soft NOS 40 year old harnesses they sometimes deteriorate rapidly when placed in service. When I say rapidly I do not mean a few weeks. They may last several years but they will not last as long as fresh new units did when installed as fresh new units.

That is a light switch harness for the M38A1. The light switch to the front and rear lights. It is meant for use with a single plug late light switch.
To complete the M38A1 wiring one will also need Harness assy. WO# 806417 (ORD# 8677431) which covers the ignition switch, instrument cluster, voltage regulator, horn and etc. Then there are several individual cable assemblies needed: 8329736 Cable gen to reg, 8677520 cable fuel gauge, and 8677059 cable horn ground.

no doubt its for the a1, im trying to find out for sure if I do away with the early style plug and go with a single plug switch will this harness work. if so then I would have to purchase the rest of the wiring from vintage wiring.
just saw one of these nos harness about a week or so go for 330.00 dollars on ebay. thxs

Ebay is full of foolish bidders. The same goofballs that used to be found at old style auctions bidding stuff up over new off the shelf prices. They are just brain dead.
As I said on your other post (and I swear I made these comments several months ago on this same harness on this web site) the A1 harness will work fine with the switch you now have. Just leave the little plug position empty. The only question mark on the harness is some of the wire lengths and that is an easy adaptation to make.
Here are the pinouts for the early switches and the corresponding harnes part numbers:
