Finally last coat of paint!

I finally shot the last coat of paint over the weekend and I soon will be ready to put it all back together. Most of the other parts are done, they just need bolting on.

No, nothing is wrong with your monitor. I painted it with the late 1950's paint color. I am not doing a factory restoration and I like that shade. Wink

Thanks for all the kind words. I definitely has been a labor of love. It has taken me about 5 years to get this far. I am lucky if I get a day on the weekend to work on it. But, throughout it all, I haven't lost interest and have learned many new skills.

Just kidding!!

In case you don't already know when you go to put the transfer case levers boot on, it is easier if you remove the levers slide the boot on both levers and then install them.

Thanks, I did replace the rear fender well sheet metal sides. The top of the fender wells and bed floor are original. It took a lot of dolly and hammer work and a skim coat of polyester putty.

The area under the fuel tank also required about a foot square patch panel.

Greg, the fuel line and wiring to the fuel tank, (that's what it looks like in the photo) is that how the line and wiring are suppose to route? I am asking because I don't know how it is supposed to be and I will have to run mine eventually.

Ken,

I have some photos at home and I can take some for you over the weekend. I will post them under a different topic name so they don't get lost here.

Basically, the fuel vent line and sending unit wiring are routed along the driver's side (interior) of the tub and the fuel line exits the interior of the tub through a hole just to the rear of where the fuel tank is positioned and the fuel line runs under the tub forward to the engine compartment.

I "hope" to get my tank mounted this weekend, so this would be an opportune time for pictures.
