In front of the tool box on my M38 are 3 small blocks. It is my understanding that these are for a fire extinguisher or decontaminator. Is this correct...and if so which unit is correct for my jeep. And more specifically which bracket is correct that will match up with the screw holes on the mounting blocks.
Where can I find the correct unit/bracket?
A photo of my mounting blocks is attached.

I purchased a decontaminator and mount at the
MVPA Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas, for
$200 which seems to be the going price, if you
can find one. It almost fit correctly, with a little
work. Looks good.

Jim,
Thanks for your info...do you have a contact name and number. Could you post a picture of your unit with bracket...also maybe one with the unit attached to the jeep.

Send me a note, and I'll get you some photographs.
I don't know how to put them on here.

Hello Dan
Here is an updated photo of my FYR-FYTER decontaminator. It now has a decal installed. (John at Midwest supplied). stamped brass info plate or decal both are correct.
I have two other original M2 decontaminators available. Send me a PM if you are interested. _________________ SteveJ

Does anyone know what the thread is for these 6 holes in the mounting blocks are? My blocks have probably never had anything mounted there and the threads are either stripped, corroded, filled with paint and crud. Probably all three.

I was about 100% sure you would chime in on this one Rick. I'm working on getting some fire protection in place and using your your suggestion.
Thanks
