Your finished rolling chassis fotos reveal some pro quality work as well.
I see you lost the sm block chev and acquired the F134.. Nice!! _________________ keep 'em rollin'

Yes it does. Having spent more time with jeep restos than civvy cars it has always been the most common approach to paint the pieces completely then assemble unlike civvy autos that must have the perfect match between panels Willys and Kaiser did them separately. Your choice of course and for a motor pool resto will not be an issue. _________________ Wes K

You're not kidding Wesk. I just figured for the amount of money I've put into it, I'd have a complete and running jeep by now... _________________ Dave

no kidding.... I've put 15+K into this jeep and it's still not finished. Granted I've also paid for labor as I sent it off, but still... good lord lol. I like the Jeep acronym. Very fitting. _________________ Dave

Ok... So the Jeep is about done and should be ready to go in December... I drove around the neighborhood yesterday though and came across a military trailer... or at least what looked like a military trailer from the road. I wasn't planning on buying a trailer, but I wanted to look at it. I knocked on the gentleman's door and asked if I could look at it. He was an older Gentleman and a Korean and Vietnam War vet. We looked at the trailer and it was military. He told me a little bit about it. I asked if it was for sale and he said sure. I asked how much. He responded with $50 and it has a NC title. I couldn't say no to that deal. He also said he had some tires. So for the whole thing (trailer, title, and 8 tires, 6 of which look in great shape) I paid $175. Looks like I'll have to get this trailer restored now to go with my jeep! Hopefully pictures of the jeep will be coming soon! I just posted a picture of the trailer in my photo album. It's rough, but that'll change in time. _________________ Dave

Wes, I'm really excited about it! I found a floor for it I believe. I plan on taking the tub off this afternoon after work and checking out the frame to make sure it's good to go. I'm sure I'll be posting more pictures tonight. It just goes to show deals are still out there! I'm really excited to get this up and rolling with my jeep in December. _________________ Dave

It's a later trailer with the integral inter-vehicle cable. Is the landing leg hiding under the lunette? A shame the data plate is missing. If you decide to profile the trailer restoration use a seperate thread on the M100 page and I'll mark it a sticky. _________________ Wes K

Ok. So with a trip to the sand box, and then coming home, I finally picked up my jeep. It's not done, but that's ok. It gives me a chance to turn wrenches again and I do enjoy that therapy (or aggravation haha). The Jeep still has a ways to go, but I'll be posting pictures of what I have soon. I may also be selling the trailer to help fund the Jeep. I haven't decided yet but that may be coming soon.
