I am currently installing the fuel line and vent line starting at the fuel tank.
Question, do these two lines parallel each other under the top edge of the frame? That would be on the drivers side.
I am trying to figure how the anchor points along the frame would go also. _________________ Tropical Veteran

The vent line goes accross the top of the tank to the side of the tub, along the tub, under the dash, thru the firewall over to the air filter. One long run.
The first fuel line goes back to the hole behind the fuel tank, attaches to an inverted flare elbow. Second line attaches to the othr end of the elbow and follows the frame to the toe board brace and attaches to the fuel shut off valve. At this point there is a "T" attached to the shut off, the "T" is plugged unless running the Primer pump. The third line attaches to the "T" and runs over to the side of the fender where the rubber hose attaches and goes to the front of the fuel pump.
There is a good drawing in TM 9-8012 that shows this...

Is the fuel line clipped to the frame in a couple of places?
I am having trouble finding that 90 deg. inverted fitting.

Is that plugged "T"the one that go's to the primer. and is that the one that needs the back flow check valve on it at the fuel pump? |

On the "T" the portion that flows straight thru is the fuel line to the fuel pump... The leg of the "T" points up and has a check valve in it for the primer, if equipped...
On the fuel pump/vaccumme side there is also a check valve that is part of the underwater vent system. This line goes to the bell housing and transfer case.
The same check valve is used in both locations it is 1/8" pipe fitting on one end and a 3/16" standard flare fitting on the other. Remi, a member of the group was selling them for $10 each. They are made in Canada andthe US distributor will not sell them to individuals. Not worth the trouble to them I guess...
Ken, the lines clip to the frame and there is a metal hose clamp on the toe board brace, driver's side...
You want a Weatherhead 502x4 or equivilent, they are still made... look at a hydraulics hose place or such... NAPA may have it also...

If I remember right if you put a flared fitting on your vent line before you thread it through the holes in the cowl support it won't fit |

I haven't put any fittings on the vent line yet. I threaded it along the tub side thru the side support and the two holes in the vertical brace then out thru the firewall hole. However I will have to go back and put the loom on, which I don't have, but is ordered.
