Looking for pieces parts or complete kit to mount the gas fired heater in my M38A1. Optionally a kit to borrow so I can duplicate the parts. Thanks.

Hi Bill, a couple of things. Was there only 1 type of gas fired heater available for these? I don't know, that's why I'm asking. Listing your location would help folks come to your assistance in times like these. You may have someone very close to you with the same set up.

Bill, Go to your profile and list at least the state or provence you are in. Then go to your signature block and add the model jeep you have. Then forever this info will always display automatically in your posts.

There is only one personnel heater kit. You may see more then one manufacturer parts in the kit but only one kit in the supply system.

The heater used in the M38A1 kit # 7358725 is the Stewart Warner 978-M-R24. It's manual is Stewart Warner Form # PM 6348 (3-53) edition or (12-56) edition or ORD # 7700201 which is the correct number for either edition.

There is another gas heater kit but it is the Arctic Power Plant Heater Kit that heats the coolant in the engine and the hot pads under and around the batteries.
