Title says what I need. I need to get a vin verification done so I can get the m38 registared. What size srews hold the dash plate on?

In Florida we use the number that is on the engine block.

I have the vin number, i just need to bolt it back to the dash, then have either a state trooper or inspection station say yes that is the number for the jeep.

Hello Bill,
You could make it easier if you positively ID'd weather you are (A) trying to fasten a serial plate to the dash directly on a MC before serial 34151 or (B) are you trying to fasten a serial plate to the large mounting plate used on vehicles after serial 34151 or (C) are you trying to fasten the large mounting plate to the dash of a vehicle after serial 34151?

A=[Ord # 128273, FSN 5305-012-8273] Screw tapping pan hd gimlet-pt, sht mtl-thd, S, cd or zn pltd, No. 6 (0.138) x 3/8" superseded by [Ord # 161790 FSN 5305-016-1790] Screw tapping thread forming, cross-reces-pan-hd, gimlet-pt, sht-mtl-thd, S, cd or zn pltd, No. 6 (0.138) x 3/8".

B=[ ORD# 109953 FSN 5320--010-9953] Rivet, tubular, oval-hd, br, 1/8 x 1/8

I am trying to fasten the large plate to my dash, the plate that has all the date plate riveted to it.
