Finally after months of nothing I finally got to work on the m38. Got a new windshield installed, winsheild frame however is not painted. I also made it so my exhaust clears my pto, got some flex pipe and it worked great.

Here are some problems I am having

1) front marker lights dont work
2) Passenger side taillight does not work
3) Lack of power, engine running rough
4) valves need adjusting what are the specs?
5) had some fuel leaks but took care of those
6) My guages are not working very well need to figure that out

that about covers it, the lack of power will get fixed tormmorow, I will be adjusting the valves, and putting a timming light on the engine.

I went 3/10 of a mile on the paved highway today. Now to fix the few problems and put some milage on her. Still have painting to do but I will use it as is for now.

On a side note the new windshield only cost me $60 plus the new gasket I got from midwest. The glass guy said it was one of the nicest gaskets he has seen.

Maybe I will have pics tommorow

Bill,

Glad to hear you are making some progress.

is your wiring harness a new one?

Are your gauges new or used?

You may want to get some new wiring and either buy new gauges or have the old ones rebuilt.

Very Happy

All the lights now work

All the guages work except for fuel, sometimes it does. We tested everything and it appears to be a bad sender.

The problem is now it has a lack of power. I am leaning towards carb right now.
