I picked up a set of points and condenser at the local parts house. I replaced them after I discovered the jeep had no spark and after removing the distributor cap discovered that the plate and everything else in the distributor was rusted. Six months ago this thing was running after I rebuilt the carb but has been sitting because of the starter issue. Well after rebuilding the starter now its time to clean up the distributor. So I currently have the plate out of it and have since bead blasted it and installed the points and condenser. I hope to pick up where I left off this weekend and get this thing running again. The distributor cap does have the seal intact so I don't know why it corroded on the inside. I will update when I get this issue fixed. _________________ 1951 M37 WOW, 1953 M37 WOW, 1954 M37 WOW, 1953 M38-A1, 1954 M38-A1, 1964 M151-A1, 1967 M151-A1, 1968 M151-A1, 1978 M151-A2, 1989 M35A2C, 1965 M416, 1966 M416, 1967 M416

So I have to correct my last statement about the distributor vent lines. Since it has solex carb on it, the vent line from the air filter cross over to the distributor was not connected. Also the other vent line on the distributor is missing. So now I know the source of the moisture. Anyway, I got the points adjusted and this old girl sounds and runs better than the other one that had the engine rebuilt. _________________ 1951 M37 WOW, 1953 M37 WOW, 1954 M37 WOW, 1953 M38-A1, 1954 M38-A1, 1964 M151-A1, 1967 M151-A1, 1968 M151-A1, 1978 M151-A2, 1989 M35A2C, 1965 M416, 1966 M416, 1967 M416
